Another BEginning

So we took the day on Sunday to move Megan into her temporary home at college for one last time. She'll finish up her requirements for a degree in English (writing emphasis) and a minor in Theatre, Communications & Public Relations. Soooo with a little bit of luck, proper preparation, and a lot of prayer she'll be able to move to the "Big City" to begin the pursuit of her dream in entertainment. It will be a long road but, then again, with a little bit of luck, proper preparation, and a lot of prayer, she'll be successful at whatever she chooses to do. Good luck Megan!
We're proud of you!

Beautiful!

So today was such a beautiful day that we decided to go to Lanesboro and ride bikes on the Root River Trail. It was such a good time but I don't think I'll be hopping back on any ol' bike for awhile. 20 miles of pedaling and the wind blowing through your hair can create a pretty Sore You Know What (A--!) Ahhhh... the life. Megan decided that she didn't want to stay home and be bored so she came with us. She was a real trooper. We picked up a bucket of chicken to eat on our way home and called it a fantastic way to end another beautiful summer day! Oh...did I ever tell ya?....I LOVE SUMMER!!!!

Crow's Feet...

"Look at everything as though you are seeing it for the first time,
with the eyes of a child, fresh with wonder."
~Joseph Cornell

It is not the passage of time that ages us nearly so much as it is
the erosion of childlike eagerness. As essayist Samuel Ullman
pointed out over 80 years ago, "Years may wrinkle the skin, but to
give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul."

Beginning today, make a daily committment to return to the ideals
of your youth, where adventure was more important than ease and
each day was met with eagerness instead of dread. If anyone asks
why the sudden lightheartedness, tell them its your new wrinkle
treatment. Your using it to get rid of all those little crow's
feet that tend to show up around the soul.

The 3 Men arrive in Norway

And 3 makes 5! Rick, Randy, & Jamey arrived in Norway safely to join their father Gale (grandfather to Jamey) & Uncle Bob who have been over there for a week. They should feel right at home with all that extra Norwegion Blood pumping through the country. Hope the country survives them!

A good Day was had by All!

This was last Saturday! It was spent with the girls out on Lake Zumbro. Deb, Shirley, and Kathy are all previous co-workers from the K-M School District. It's been awhile since we've gotten together but we always have a great time when we do! Thanks for inviting us Deb! It couldn't have been a more perfect way to spend such a warm day. And the ending fireworks spectacular was the icing on the cake! I loooove Summer!

Now I know it's hot outside but....

I can live with it as long as I have my air conditioning. Only problem is that our windows have been closed up for so many days I'm getting sick of it. And could anyone please tell me how "Bats" get into my house with no windows or doors open? Hmmmm? My husband refuses to figure it out. He won't take the time! Well...I hope a bat comes up and bites him in the butt! Why do these bats torture us so? I may have to move into the city and get out of the country soon. I can't take it anymore. Besides...I don't think the bats would miss me at all. They love my house! I'm sure
they'd just move right in and take over. WE'll see how Rick likes that!

A Day on a SegWay!

My sister-in-law Michelle, friend Sherry, & I had an amazing tour on July 8th in Minneapolis. Michelle decided she couldn't live without trying this so we all hopped on (some of us better than others) and spend 3 hours touring part of Minneapolis. You get to see parts of the city you probably wouldn't see on your own. It's amazing! If anyone is interested in trying this let me know. I have a coupon for a $10 discount. These machines are amazing! Try it...you'll love it!

Whew!

I'm finally home from the fair! Oh my gosh! Everyone needs to remind me how hot it gets in July so I won't do it again! It was waaaay to hot! Attendance was down and I can't stand just sitting around but it was too hot to do anything else. Uuugh! Glad to be outta there! I spent today getting reorganized and resting. Rick and I cooked steaks on the grill for dinner (Yum!) and then we decided to go see the Pirates movie in Kasson. It was fun! I love having the movie theatre in our community. It's a nice thing to do on such a hot evening when there is nothing else to do. The movie was great! Good Pirate fun! I just looooove Johhny Depp!! I could melt in his beautiful eyes. ummmmm...yep...I would do that. Oh...I better wake up from my dream before I get myself in too much trouble. Hee Hee. I'm excited for this weekend. We're going to Stillwater to spend the weekend there with some friends. Should be a Hoot! I LOOOOOVE SUMMER!! YAY!

AAAAaaaahhhhhh!

No...this is not a sigh of relief! I thought initiating "Quickbooks" for my business would be a big help. I admit that I see the potential...it's just that if I do any more data entry I'm gonna kill myself!!! And that's what will be required of me. A TON of data entry. I just don't know if I can do data entry for quickbooks, produce my orders from about 50 different suppliers, inventory everything, create price tags and then tag every stinking item I have! Plus I have hundreds of suncatcher prism hangings I have to custom make also!! I'm exhausted with the thought! And what was that you said?! You think I actually have time to sit at the Dodge County Fair and twiddle my thumbs for 5 days??!! Yeah right! I'm gonna go shoot myself now! Have a good life everyone!

It's About time!

Rick says I need to update but I have nothing to say! Not even really random thoughts. Oh well. I am tremedously busy getting my businesses off the ground. Soooo much work! I have been putting in 8 hour (and then some)days for weeks. I'm getting there but time is running short. I have no idea if it will all work (or pay off for that matter) but I guess time will tell. Keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer. Yep! We'll get there. In the meantime, I'm boring you all with my words. Have a nice weekend everyone! :^)

SHOUT IT OUT LOUD!!

Jamey has done an amazing job of keeping his sanity the past 2 weeks since he left his "Day Job" to go off on his own as a designer. This kid's got it goin' on!! I guess we would say that over $60,000 in jobs offered to him in just a few days would be reason enough to celebrate but now he also gets to travel to San Francisco and Los Angeles. I dunno...is this really fair??! We're OHHHH Sooo Proud of You!

SHOUT IT OUT LOUD!!
