It was a Very Nice Week :^)

We had a lovely week with Megan home for a little break. It was fun to have girl time after she'd finally climb her way out of bed at 1:00pm! Sheesh! Who needs that much sleep anyways?! I spose ya gotta catch up sometime. Anyways...it was nice to shop, cook, talk, giggle, and just hang out. Even Jamey came down on Saturday to have dinner and spend a little family time. I appreciate the family time soooo much even though it doesn't happen often enough. The kids are just too busy right now. I'm hopeful that Jamey's life will slow down a bit after he makes the break from the corporate world to just running his business. He's hopeful that will happen soon. Good luck! Megan had an interview with the owner of our local newspaper and will do an intership there for the summer. Her plans are to possibly work as a journalist or something similar when she's outta school. This will fill the time while she auditions for various performance opportunities.Hopefully something will work out for her. It sounds like a good plan to me. She's becoming more focused and ready to be on her own. Maybe her brother will have company in a year...who knows? Meanwhile....Me? I'm just enjoying my time off and using this opportunity to sleep in. I wake up in the morning with 3 kitties sprawled out on the bed with me! Ha! Ha! They're soooo cute in the morning! I can wake up and sip my morning coffee and watch the Today show at my leisure (Thanks TiVo!), while Lilly or Izzy sit in my lap. The Olympics have been great to watch in the evenings with Megan and Rick. We've enjoyed them all. It's so sad to see them end! Tonight we're watching the closing ceremony. I love to listen to the stories about the people involved. They're so inspiring. It should be a good show. Rick is currently sitting in his chair with his IBM laptop (wonder what he's doing?, not work I hope) and I'm sitting on the couch with our other laptop. Ridiculous huh? You'd think we'd have something to talk about but, no. I'm blogging and he's working. Yep! This is what it's come to folks! How sad and positively boring are we?! I need some friends to call me. It's time to do something else. I need a diversion for a bit. Otherwise I'm just gonna sit and work on plans for next holiday season (& believe me there's a lot of planning to do)! But once the weather gets warmer and the snow melts I can begin to garden. This I can't wait for! I love to be outside! Especially in the spring when there's no bugs or sweltering humidity.
