I know...it's soooo Exciting!!

I know you can all hardly wait to read my next blog because they're all just soooo exciting! Yeah right! I really did not do much today. Just watched the snow melt and yes, did more laundry. It never ends even with just the two of us. I need to start doing my spring cleaning but I'm having a hard time starting it. I'm trying to finish a book I started but I have a hard time sitting for too long. I'm just not used to it. Seems as though many homemaker things are hard for me to do now! Ha! I've been out of the mode for so long it's going to take me awhile to figure it out again. I did pose as one of the judges for our school's cheerleading try outs. It was fun! Tomorrow I may go visit my lovely daughter. She needs to remember what her mother looks like so I'll go show my face. Well...gotta go watch my favorite show...The Apprentice! I love it! What a Day!

Wow! 2 nice days in a row! When does that ever happen in Minnesota? Hmmmm? Finally getting rid of all that yucky white stuff! It takes so cotton pickin long to melt the snow out here in the woodlands. We get so little sun! Anyways...I guess spring has finally sprung for real. It's about time! Jeez! It's been nice to go for long walks again too. Since our road is blacktop now it's not all mucky. I love it! I saw tons of robins, 2 bluebirds, and 2 female grosbeaks (these are also birds, in case ya didn't guess). The air was fresh and there are 2 new houses being started in the subdivision out in front of us. My 3 lazy kitties sat out on the deck and sniffed around all day. I left the back door open slightly and they just meandered in and out at their leisure. The sun felt soooo good! Made me wish for Mexico again. Yes...truly...spring has sprung! I hope the day made you smile :<}

Easter with family...and then some :^)

So today we had Easter lunch with Gale & Mary. Megan and Jamey were both in attendance. It's always soooo nice to have our kids with us for the holidays. We catch up on what's going on in everyone's life (since mine is so boring now it's most fulfilling to hear what exciting things others are doing). Yeah....and then we get a phone call from Jackie and Rick saying that they are just hanging out and would it be ok to come over. Soooo of course.....we said "Nah...we don't like ya! Stay home!" JUST KIDDING!!!! So they came over (except for Brianna- we missed you girl!) and we all hung out and had lots of laughs and good times. Then it was time for everyone to go home. So we had our hugs and last minute laughs and left for home. It was a most enjoyable Easter. I hope all of you had hugs and laughs too. We love you all! Happy Easter. God Bless!

Nothin' But Time...

Today was Great!! I woke up at 9:00am. Sat around and had coffee til 10:30. Did some business phone calls. Showered and ran errands until 1:30pm. Done for the day!! Yippee! It just felt good! No stress. Workin' on my own time schedule (pretty pathetic huh?) and actually having time to de-stress from my "Busy" day by sitting with Rick in the hot tub after dinner. Since there was nothing on TV tonight we watched one of our DVD's from that Blockbuster thingy we're hooked up with. It's nice. Having a movie to plug in when there's nothing else to watch. (Actually....just having the time to do it is nice too!) We watched the movie "A Door In the Floor". It was really strange but pretty good too! Next one is "The Notebook". I can't wait to see it but I want to watch it with Megan so we can cry together. You all know that I tear up over Hallmark commercials so I figure this should justify a whole box of kleenex. We had a wonderful time taking Jamey shopping for a new mattress for his new bed yesterday. Once that was done we went out to eat at the "Cheesecake Factory". If you have never eaten at this restaurant before you are missing a lot!! They give you soooo much food you can only eat half of the meal (& it's AWESOME!) and then you don't have room for their "yummy" cheesecake. Doesn't make sense to me! Why would you serve people soooo much food and not enable them to eat cheesecake? Hmmmmm? Something to ponder. Megan stayed at Jamey's and went to his birthday bash at a restaurant in dwntwn. Mpls. (CHINO LATINO"S). I understand it was fun and she has decided to stay another evening. I am glad she can be there for her brother in his time of need! They can re-bond! Love you guys!!!! Enjoy yourself but don't forget that your mother needs to see you once in awhile too! Hee hee! Have a good week everyone! Think Spring! PLEASE!!

What is work?

Yeah...a person can get used to naps in the sun, boat rides, more naps in the sun, etc. We saw a guy on the beach today with his family and he was walking around yelling at someone on his cell phone and I thought...here you are in paradise with your family and you can't leave work at home to spend some quality time in Paradise? Come on Mister!! Get with the program! Oh yeah...I forgot...there is no program in Paradise. Only sunshine and ocean waves lapping at your feet.
We tried to go on a snorkeling tour today but the water was too rough and murkey so we decided to postpone it and go another day. Tomorrow we may go into a small town and visit a market and another beach. Yes...I know...all in a day. Hee hee. It can't get much better than this. Gotta run...Rick and I are going to check out another theatre production. They're pretty entertaining (and outside!). See ya soon! But not too much!

Toooo Much Fun in the Sun...

It's midnight and I can't sleep. A little too much sun today...ouch! What a demanding day we had. Breakfast, Body Massage, Beach, Swim, More Beach & Sun, Lunch, Margarita, Exercise like a Mad Woman, Walk on the Beach, Nap, Back to the room for a dip in the pool, Shower, Dinner, another walk, take in a theatre production, back to the suite for some quality time on the patio, read my book, lights out, & here I am trying to sleep. Not working. Musta had too stressful of a day. I think I need to unwind a bit. I don't know if I can handle all this...Hee hee. I'll try to post tomorrow. Love you all...sorry to hear about the snow (kinda) :^{

Paradise!

OK…So who’s the most spoiled girl in the world right now?? Yepperee! It’s Me!!!
This has got to be one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed in! No wonder they call it a palace! For those of you who care, you can go to www.royalkarminapalace.com
It was really windy today but temps were in the low 80’s. We checked out our 2bedroom suite which is way too amazing, complete with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths –both w/jacuzzi’s, sitting room, dining area, and a huuuuge patio with it’s own wading pool!!…(wish we could have shared it with someone) We will for sure come back again and bring people with us! It’s too beautiful not to share. Tomorrow we will find some areas to snorkel and boogie board. We may take a boat tour as well. Whatever we decide to do it will include being outdoors allllll day! Yeah for Manzanillo, Mexico! We Love you!

Thank you to everyone for offering to care for my kitties while we are gone. I'm sure they will love the extra attention. They are soooo spoiled and 2 of them are very social (like me) and seem to think they need to have people around them to survive. Hee hee. Of course I cator to them a little too much...oh well! I am sooo excited for our trip. Warm, sunny days and snorkeling in the OCEAN!! YES! Rick is even excited about it...imagine that! I'll be sure to post a few pics when I get back...so stay tuned. And Yes, Jackie...I may just get that shot of your brother in that speedo (NOT!). The picture below is one taken from the balcony of a room like ours. Yes...it has it's own wading pool on the balcony and 8 interconnecting pools to swim in. But who cares! I'll be swimmin' in the OCEAN!!! Have a great week everyone and I'll talk to ya lata-gata!

Where did the week go?

I just realized that it's Thursday and I haven't even looked at my page this week! Sorry to those of you who actually check in (I don't think it's too many since I never receive comments from anyone) so it probably doesn't really matter. But...for those of you who do care...here's the update....
We've had dance practice every day this week with our last one today and try outs from 5:30-9:00 tonight. Try outs again tomorrow from 3:30-7:30. Over 85 girls trying out. Good luck Girls! Show Me What Ya Got!
I've also been trying to get things ready so that I can go on vacation to Mexico on Tuesday. It hasn't been a priority until today. Trying to clean a little (this I hate!) and figuring out what I need before we go. I am trying to tan a little before we go so I won't fry my poor ol' bod when I get there. Only prob is that I ended up frying it anyway. I fell asleep and went for a full 20 minutes! Oops and ouch! I'm really red! I'm excited for the warm temps but will worry about my kitties when I'm gone. If there is anyone willing to stop in and visit them let me know and I will tell you how to get into the house. They would welcome the attention since 2 of them are VERY NEEDY and love the companionship. Spoiled is what they are! I have a neighbor boy coming over to check on them but he will be busy and won't be able to spend much time with them. Poor babies! I guess I cator to them a little too much! Hee hee.
I'm going down to visit Megan on Saturday. She needs the companionship too. I love spending time with you Meggie Lou! Jamey called last night and had lots to talk about.
